Ingredients

  • 1 c. corn syrup, dark OR light
  • ¼ c. coarse grained mustard
  • dash Chili Powder
  • 1 lb. cocktail sausages

Directions

Microwave Preparation:

  1. Combine corn syrup, mustard and chili powder in a large microwave-safe bowl. Stir to combine. Add cocktail sausages and stir to coat. Microwave on HIGH (100% power) for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally until sausages are hot.

Stovetop Preparation:

  1. Combine corn syrup, mustard and chili powder in a medium saucepan. Add cocktail sausages and stir to coat. Heat over medium heat until sausages are hot and sauce has come to a boil, about 10 minutes.

Slow Cooker Preparation:

  1. Combine corn syrup, mustard and chili powder in a small (about 1-1/2 quart) slow cooker. Add cocktail sausages and stir to coat. Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 hours or LOW for 3 to 4 hours.

Tips

Try these variations in place of chili powder: Cajun seasoning, ground chipotle, Chinese 5-Spice or curry powder.
