Little taste of licorice, lots of uses.

Fennel Seed

Fennel Seed

All parts of the fennel plant can be eaten, but it’s the seeds that generate the most culinary interest, thanks to their warm, anise-like aroma and fresh, slightly sweet flavor.

Indigenous to Southern Europe, fennel is now cultivated in almost every temperate climate on earth. We source our Spice Islands® whole fennel from India, where the seeds have a greenish-yellow color indicative of high quality.
