At the beginning of the holiday season every year, I find myself brainstorming ways to liven up my menus and spreads. Of course I always have traditional fare passed down through my family, but I also like to serve my guests dishes that make a certain meal a truly unique experience – something they’ll continue to talk about in the days and months afterward.
Luckily, Spice Islands enlisted the help of three culinary experts to provide some insight on holiday entertaining. I am pleased to welcome Alice Currah of the blog, The Savory Sweet Life, and Pim Techamunavivit from Chez Pim to our Flavor Explorer family. I’m also happy to announce that Matt Armendariz from MattBites.com will again contribute to Flavor Explorer for the next couple of months.
Alice, Pim and Matt all contributed to our special Vanilla Thanksgiving menu, and will contribute to Flavor Explorer throughout the holiday season. Each of them comes from a different culinary tradition and background, and each has a different perspective and approach to cooking and baking. I am sure that together they will give me, and you, some great exploratory ideas in the kitchen.
Feel free to talk back and tell them what you’re trying out in the kitchen this year!
All the best,
Casella
